This piece is a lively romp through the Christian McBride Trio's jazzed-up 2011 rendition of Johnnie Taylor's 1968 funk track "Who's Making Love." This work is all about activating and sharing the vibrant, connected energy created by grooving to a good jazz tune. This work was created and premiered in 2021 through a commission from the Providence College dance program, and has since been performed by students at Winona State University and by the RS company at the Cowles Center as a part of their inaugural
Fall Forward Festival (which the performance you are viewing here!).
